Is Planet-Fall free?
Yes. Planet-Fall is completely free to play in your web browser. There's nothing to buy and no account to create.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Planet-Fall runs in any modern desktop browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Just open planet-fall.io and play.
What kind of game is Planet-Fall?
A real-time multiplayer territory strategy game, similar to OpenFront and Territorial.io, played on a persistent 3D planet twice the size of Mars where matches last up to three days.
How long does a match last?
Up to three days. A nation wins early by holding 40% of the planet's land; otherwise the largest nation wins when time runs out. A new planet then forms for the next match.
What happens to my nation when I log off?
Your nation stays on the map and keeps growing its army. After a short grace period your land defends 2.5× harder while you're away, so you can play at your own pace.
Can I join a match that has already started?
Yes. You can join at any time. New and late players start with extra troops scaled to the size of existing nations, plus a few minutes of spawn protection.
How do alliances work?
Right-click another player's land and choose Ally. Allies can't attack each other and earn extra gold from trade. Breaking an alliance marks you as a traitor for 10 minutes, making your land easier to capture.
How do I earn gold?
Gold comes from factories (trains earn gold at each station), shipyards (trade ships pay both sides), conquering tribes, and a small base income. Land itself doesn't earn gold.
Can I play on my phone?
Planet-Fall is designed for desktop browsers with a mouse. Phone support is limited during the alpha.
